Kitec Plumbing Class Action Close Out
On February 26, 2014, the Court extended all deadlines for owners of Clark County homes that contain Kitec plumbing systems to file claims requesting the available settlement relief. The Court extended the deadlines by three (3) years or until the limited funds are exhausted. The Court also opened up the settlement relief program to individuals who were previously barred either because they failed to act before the applicable deadline, their home was not included in the original Kitec fittings litigation, or they previously opted out of this class action.
The Court set a deadline of March 17, 2017, for all Kitec Class members to file claims. Total Class Solutions LLC ("TCS") will accept claims by e-mail through midnight (Central Daylight Time) Friday March 17, 2017 and claim forms submitted by US Postal Service or Fedex (or equivalent) provided the postmark date or “sent” date is on or before March 17, 2017. All claims received outside that criteria will be rejected.
Even though a claim may be submitted within the guidelines above, TCS wishes to inform Class Members that the fund is close to being exhausted and it is highly unlikely that filers at this stage of the program will receive any Class Relief.
If you have any questions, please call TCS at 1-800-622-0130 extension 312.
Within the next 60 to 90 days, a new Kitec website will be launched to replace this temporary notice that will give information on properties replumbed under the Class Action and how to handle any warranty issues that may arise.
